For some odd reason I was thinking if you were outside on an extremely hot day you were at risk for a heat stroke. I was looking at it wrong. According to BALTIMORE CITY MEDICAL SOCIETY FOUNDATION's, summer 2010 report, there are two types of heat stroke

exertional (which tends to affect young, healthy individuals who exaust themselves in high temperature and humidity enviornments.

nonexertional ( affecting those with underlying medical condition that impair thermoregulation or prevent self- removal from a hot enviornment.

Extreme heat events are the most dangerous natural hazard in the United States, causing an average of 675 deaths per year.

What should one do if they think that they might be having a nonexertional heat stroke?

Were these people who died even aware that they were having a stroke? Or were they not educated on it to know. How does your immediate enviornment affect you in this situation and what if you don't know where to go for safety and help.
